Finalized the merger by incorporation with subsidiary company Salads&Fruits S.r.l. Nicola Codispoti appointed Managing Director of the Holding Company. Alberto Bizzotto appointed Manager of Centrale del Latte di Vicenza S.p.A.

The merger by incorporation of the Subsidiary Company Salads & Fruits S.r.l. fully owned by Centrale del Latte di Torino & C. S.p.A was finalized today in Turin.

The economic reasons for the merger stem from the need to streamline the organization, allowing the holding company to directly carry out Salads&Fruits’ business, thus improving efficiency and reducing decision-making and operating costs, through a leaner Group’s organization. Further, Salads&Fruits is going to change its corporate status, from subsidiary company to Division of the Holding Company, while keeping the same corporate purpose, namely the production of fresh salads and packaged, ready-to-eat fresh vegetables and fruits, under the leadership of Mr. Denis Avanzi.

Since 2007, Salads&Fruits operations are based in Casteggio (PV) in a production site with leading-edge technology, located in a 2,500 sqm, 2-storey building, with packaging lines for vegetables and fruits, offices, warehouses, reefer cells, and loading and unloading bays, maintained in perfect housekeeping conditions.

Today, about 48 different varieties of salads and ready-to-cook vegetables are produced in Casteggio and sold in different packages (thermoformed trays, bags, and flow-packs), weights and ingredients (different types of salads: e.g. green oak lettuce, rucola, valerian, chioggia, pan di zucchero, green lollo, etc.), as well as 25 different fruit and fruit-salad varieties sold in pop-open tubs.

The Board of Directors of Centrale del Latte di Torino S.p.A. who met today in Turin, with a view to focusing more on business operations, has appointed Mr. Nicola Codispoti – already a Director in the company -Managing Director of the Holding Company, granting him extensive management powers.

Alberto Bizzotto has been appointed General Manager of the Subsidiary Company Centrale del Latte di Vicenza.

Therefore, the Board of Directors of Centrale del Latte di Torino S.p.A. & C. consists of: Luigi Luzzati, President; Ricardo Pozzoli Vice Executive President and Managing Director; Nicola Codispoti, Managing Director; Adele Artom, Guido Artom, Antonella Forchino, Luciano Roasio (independent director), Ermanno Restano, Alberto Tazzetti (independent director), and Germano Turinetto (independent director) Directors.
